I am so tired whilst my daughter is going through treatment, I have moved in with her to help look after her and my grandchildren. Whist trying to hold down a full time job.
This is where the problem lies.
I am a 52 year old with Fibromyalgia and costochondritis. My 3 grand children have varying levels of ASD. But the youngest one is five and barely sleeps.
I dont know how he functions on so little sleep . He is even medicated by paediatricians obvs, even that doesn't work for long.
So far this week I have slept a total of around 8 hrs at night.
Nothing works . I am sorry for the rant I just had to let it out..
...........I am sorry you are having such difficult nights but your daughter must be so grateful to you. Just imagine if she was having to deal with her little boy as well as treatment. Well done to you for stepping in. Sadly not all mothers are as understanding.
Hopefully you can put your feet up for an hour or two later although I can appreciate how difficult that will be while you are working. Is there another friend or family member who could babysit for a couple hours early evening to give you a break? Take care. Love Karen
Agreed . Thank goodness your daughter has such a lovely mum . My mother has senile dementia but even when she was match fit fell well under parr when it came to supportive mothering.
Try to be kind to yourself and please enlist the help from other people as much as you can. Don’t try and shoulder this all yourself xxxx
