Hi I have just had my 2nd chemo ..is it possible for the lump to shrink that quickly its at the top of breast and could very easily be felt and seen when laying down ...but I swear it getting smaller by the day I cant even feel it standing up xx
Hi Sister4
Yes, it is possible. My lump was noticeably softer by the end of the 1st chemo cycle and I felt that it was smaller after the 2nd. My surgeon agreed and then after the 3rd chemo another MRI showed that it was only around half the initial size. After 5th chemo it was more than 97% smaller by volume. After the 6th chemo no remaining cancer was found in the tissues which were removed.
Have faith in the treatment. I thought of chemo and the herceptin and pertuzumab as the magic juice. On the one hand I was sorry for myself to be needing it, on the other, I was so glad to be getting it and that I could feel it working.
Onward and onward......
Wishing you all the best
