Hello I started taking Tamoxifen in May this year. I was wondering whether anyone else who takes Tamoxifen suffers from aches and pains in there groin area? It feels like mine can't stretch and they click. Is this something I should talk to my doctor about or is it a known reaction.
Many kinds thanks
Hi Clayton24 it's always worth mentioning these things to your oncologist just incase. You can read the pamphlet that comes with the meds to see if it's a known reaction but what's in the pamphlet isn't a definitive list.
Side effects of taking these meds can take up to 6 months or more to settle down so if it is a side effect don't dispair as it may eventually go.
Some people find that taking different brands helps with side effects which would mean they are reacting to the fillers used in the tablets rather than the active ingredient. So you might want to try changing brands and seeing if it makes a difference.
Either way do mention it to your medical team just to be on the safe side.
Hope you manage to resolve it.
