Hi has anyone tried these bras and are they any good, have a rather large seroma in my armpit after surgery last week and I’m looking for a bra to sit over it and not under it, as my current bra from M&S seems to push up underneath it and the seroma seems to budge over it. I had it drained 2 days ago but it came back by the next day. Just wondered if these bras fit up into your armpit.
Best wishes Diane xx
Hi Di54 i used the Reko bras and still do 9 months on as I find them really comfy. I also had a seroma which I had drained once but as it came back the next day we decided just to leave it and let my body reabsorb it.
The seroma was in my armpit and the reco bra didn't bother it. It's hard to explain how high up under the armpit the bra goes but broadly speaking it sits maybe 1cm under the hair line of the armpit.
I'll have a closer look later tonight when I'm going to bed and update this if I'm wrong.
Seromas are super uncomfortable but your body will eventually reabsorb them - mine took a good few weeks before it shrunk enough that I stopped feeling and being bothered by it. At my 6 month check it was apparently still there but smaller and as it wasn't bothering me we continued to leave it alone. At 9 months they didn't say anything about it so it must be gone now.
