Hello everyone,
I m a 64 year old woman who got diagnosed with low grade DCIS on 30th September and have just told my adult son who handled it ok but wanted a lot of information and would like to come to my next biopsy result and treatment plan discussion with the surgeon appointment along with my husband . I m not sure if they ll let 2 people in with me although I d like them both to be present if possible. Has anyone had any experience with bringing 2 family members with you rather than one?
I don't know whether anything has changed in the hospitals since April, but I wasn't allowed to bring anyone at all. My husband sat outside in the car park and I rang him on speakerphone and the consultant spoke to us both. I do know that different hospitals have different policies though. I would ask them, see what they say?
Thanks RedSquirrelNuts, I will ask at my next biopsy in just under a week . My husband was allowed to come into my first biopsy results appointment with me a few days ago so maybe they ll let my son in too next time .. I m not too optimistic about that though!
