Wound check after mastectomy ?

It may well be scar tissue the surgeons are meticulous at removing  all of the breast tissue in a maesectomy but I would check ! It never harms us to check X

I would ring your Breast Cancer Nurse to discuss and check. If all was OK at your last wound check they tend to think all is  OK unless you tell them otherwise. If you're having a few problems they see you more is the general way of things I've found. Say if you have an infection they check more or it's not healing well for some reason or other.

I did call before but the nurse said it may be scar tissue. But without them seeing it always leaves a question mark in my head
