Vitamins

Hi, I've been recommended a calcium supplement as the hormone treatment will weaken my bones, this was by my oncologist. A dietician friend also said Vit D is the only other thing to take given we don't get enough sunlight in the UK. This of course assumes a healthy and balanced diet otherwise.

I'm now taking Calcium with Vits D and K, which I get from Boots.  I saw some cheaper ones, but then noticed the amount of calcium/vitamins in them was less, so take care to check that if you are buying.

Hi, I think a healthy diet is more key than vitamin supplements when recovering from chemo as you'll get the vitamins naturally in food, but I do take a few supplements that I think help with the hormone therapy.

Similar to Irishgirl16, I take Vitamin D & K (K helps with absorption), magnesium & calcium, glucosamine/chondroitin, hemp seed oil, turmeric and sage!

I was already taking the magnesium/calcium and turmeric for years before the diagnosis and these helped with headaches and joint pain.

The sage helps with hot flushes, as recommended by my BCN
