Hi all, awake at 4.30 am. Just wanted to chat. Had my first cycle of 4, six days ago. Don’t feel I can say my symptoms have been horrendous compared with what they could be but I still feel horrible! My worst day so far was day 4 (counting day of treatment as 1). I mainly felt slightly nauseous and fatigued. The nausea is the worst but fatigue is surprisingly distressing. Particularly as I couldn’t sleep well either. I was also slightly constipated which has now gone to diarrhoea and painful wind! I also have the horrible metallic taste in my mouth which makes food taste weird.  I suppose I think I should be able to put up with it better than I feel I am.

Hi! I had my 1st round of EC 1 week ago, and I have suffered terrible sickness, nausea and dizziness. I had come home with 2 types of antisickness tablets, but neither worked. Started a 3rd type on Friday, which finally did the trick. I'm now enjoying the taste of food, in small quantities, and feel like I have some strength coming back. (painful wind too!). I'm trying to get back to drinking 2l water a day, despite the weird taste!

Today I have been for my PICC line flush, and the dressing was SO stuck to me it was painful being removed. I'm allergic to sticking plasters, so had some barrier (lollipop stick) stuff applied before the dressing, and am wondering if this was the problem. Anyhow, I just have to say that every time I mention that I have a sticking plaster allergy, it feels like I am never taken seriously.

I have the very same feeling Chooks, that I feel I should be putting up with everything far better than I actually am.
