I wondered if anyone has recommendations for eye brow makeup. Bit useless at make up, something simple and effective.

Thank you. Xx

  • I would love tips on this too Two heartsTwo hearts

  • Try Googling lookgoodfeel better, they have online tutorials on all sorts of tips regarding how to look better after cancer treatment.

You  can also book onto online tutorials and you get all sorts of goodies. I haven’t booked on to a course as yet, but do intend to.

  • Hi vixsix,

I now have no eyebrows or lashes....some Boots stores have Macmillan trained makeup artists who give tutorials in store...try googling your local stores for more info. I have just ordered some fake brows from simply wigs ...they are like a tattoo, will let you know if they are any good ! Another option is to pencil them in...I am pretty rubbish at it but I am also wearing my glasses more as they do detract from having no lashes/brows. Hope that helps.x

Hello, mylesy, I didn't know Boots offered that service. I'm not great at the ole makeup either. Definitely be interested to hear about the eyebrows you've bought.

Thank you very much for your reply

    Vx.

  • Hi there

I found Maybelline brow mascara great when I had no brows. It doesnt have a brush, rather a fish shaped rubber wand. It comes in different colours, I use Dark Blonde. It has fibres in it and if feathered on in the direction brow hairs grow it looks good. Lots of friends would not believe that I had no brows when we met.

    All the best

  • better still - got it on Ebay. Gone thro 2 packs since January and now on 3rd. Still use it every day.

  • Hi Vixsix,

ive bought the benefit microbrow in medium brown and that works well. It imitates brush strokes and doesn’t rub off.

Can I also recommend taking part in a Look Good, Feel Better workshop. I did mine onlne, but they are also starting to take place again in person at Magges Centres. Once you have taken part you will also receive an insanely generous goody bag of really high quality make up and toiletries. The tutor I had was such good fun and we had a genuinly fun time
