Nearly 6 week wait for post op results

I am so sorry to hear you are having such a long wait.  The waiting is absolute torture.  Have they told you which results they are still waiting for? I have seen PALS mentioned on this site but I’m sure someone will come along on here and be able to point you in the right direction or maybe your doctor could speak to the hospital to find out what is causing the delay and hurry things up.
 I know if oncotype score has been requested then I believe it is sent to USA.  Macmillan nurses told me that usually takes 2 to 3 weeks in total and should be available at next appointment after lumpectomy so shouldn’t cause any delay.

Hi thank you, I was just advised they do not have all my results as of yet and they are escalating them.  Do you think it would be advisable to contact PALS xx

Hi, sorry I can't advise who to contact, but for comparison purposes, which might add weight to your argument, I had a therapeutic mammoplasty on 5 August - around the same time as you?   My surgery results took about 10 days and then my oncotype test results 8 days after that.  I'm surprised you're having to wait so long and would think it's appropriate to raise the issue wherever you can.  

Try and remember that no results are not the same as bad results though - sorry if that sounds trite.  All good wishes x

Good results overall, thanks.  I have had a bit of a hard time recovering as I've developed a hematoma which is very uncomfortable.  Next step will be radiotherapy.  Hoping for good results for you x 

Can I ask what grade and size yours was pls   I have healed well. I am keeping positive, no news good news, surely there must be a process for urgent results.  Best wishes xx

Mine was grade 3 and 18 mm x

What was your oncotype score pls, have you started your radiotherapy xx

I can’t believe you are still waiting for your results, that’s just awful.  I contacted PALS previously when I had a delay with results so hopefully this will help you to get them soon.

Could you ask them to share with you the results they do have even if not all the results they need?
