Is this normal ?

Hi all

I had my lumpectomy at the end of July. Everything looked ok. Then I started feeling hardness near the site and then ended up with an infection and some swelling that needed draining. That’s not what I want to know is normal. Since then, my breast has become misshapen and dented looking with a Pickering to my left outer side. Is puckering normal after a lumpectomy???? I’m a bit worried xx

Hey there, I have the same my lumpectomy was 17/6.. as it’s healed it’s dimpled and hangs inwards where they took the mass xx

I was told to expect it so haven’t been to worried but ring your BN if in any doubt.. take no chances xx

I agree with Hellcat. Ring your BCN if you’re worried. I had my lumpectomy in 3 August. My lump was at the very bottom of my breast and I’ve now got a sunken sort of line on the top of the breast. I I think some shape change is normal? X

Thanks. After surgery I was so pleased but it seems now to have changes shape now. I will ask my BN tomorrow xxx Thankyou
