Pectoral muscle.

Mine was on my pectoral muscle but not in it and I had chemo to shrink it first - successfully. When I had my operation, they still shaved a small sliver of muscle away but it does not affect my mobility and they got clear margins.

I shaved my hair ahead of chemo to take control, which was empowering! I'm in my mid-40s and my hair has grown back the same colour it was before and I have tonnes of it. Eye lashes were slower to grow back and eye brows are still not all there, 6 months post-chemo, but I have very light coloured eye brows so you don't really notice.

I actually found losing my hair the easiest side effect from chemo as I didn't really notice it that much once I had shaved my head and it wasn't painful or causing any physical discomfort. In fact, I didn't lose it all at once so I was quite happy for most of it to go and stop looking so patchy.

I just wore hats but there are some pretty amazing wigs out there! You get an NHS voucher for a wig so worth getting something, I did, but never wore it.

Thank so much for your reply. I am not looking forward too hair loss. I have strong thick hair the Irish in me. Can you drive ok after chemo I like my independence.How many chemos did you have. I will have short ones with being 77 and in jan or feb have both my breasts off. I hope your on the mend and thank you for your feed back about how you went about things big hug xxx
