Has anyone had a reduction on your good breast? How long did the surgery take and how long was your recovery from the surgery? Going to seethe plasters surgeon next week.
Thanks Kitz
I have already had a reconstruction but the plastic surgeon was talking about reduction maybe in 6 months time and was wondering what the recovery time would be don’t think I’ll have it if I have drains again.
Thanks
Anne xx
Hi Anne - honestly the side I had the reduction on healed so much quicker than the mastectomy side. The drain came out in just a few days. I don't think you will regret it. x
Hi. It's mainly thickning of the scar tissue which makes it feel a bit tight and uncomfortable. I've also been having nerve pain, similar to sciatica but higher up. I'm having a bone scan on Tuesday to make sure the cancer hasn't spread (which I'm hopeful about as my cancer was grade2/stage 2 with clear margins and no node involvement,). If the scan is clear then it's wear on the spine and we'll need to see what they can do. I hope it all goes OK for you. Take care. Xx
