On Tuesday my planned chemo for Wednesday was postponed due to dental work I had on Monday. (I completely understand why this had to happen). The oncologist said that they would aim to have me in for bloods next Tuesday, to start chemo Wednesday..... No problem.
An hour later I got a call to book for an MRI... They only do these on Wednesdays!!! I booked the earliest possible appointment.
Since then I have been trying to get thru to chemo booking to make sure this is OK and won't clash with my first session.
They are not answering the phone!!!!
Missed call from then on the land line at 8.15 this morning. No message left. I've asked them to use my mobile as we don't have a phone upstairs.
I called back within 10 minutes.... No answer!!!!
Today I'm feeling very stressed. I've snapped and apologised to my OH so many times already.
Decided that the only thing we can do is drive to the hospital and see if we can sort it out there.....
So much for. "any questions just ring"

Sorry to say you're not the first and won't be the last. I had the same issues throughout my treatment, the NHS is fab but communication between depts is not what they're good at!
Given the issue is next Weds I'd carry on calling, they will answer at some point and you'll save a visit to the hospital (where its not 100% certain they'll be able to help there & then either...).
Deep breaths are my only suggestion at this point in time....sorry.
Good luck and know you're not alone in this challenge, And ranting is fine...we've all been there.
