I had my appointment at breast clinic this morning. They said from my mammogram and scan that breast tissue was normal but my lymph nodes were swollen and my lump is on lymph nodes. She said lumps she was feeling she didn't know if it was from my covid jab. I kept telling her that I had the lump before I had the jab. She told me she couldn't do biopsy today as lump might be from jab and to go away and if still there in 4 weeks to go back to gp and get re referred for biopsy. 4 weeks seems such a long time to wait then to wait more to be referred then wait again for results. I wanted to ask questions but just felt she wanted me out the door think I feel worse now then I did really thought I would know today

  • Hi the person who saw you doesn’t sound like they were listening/hearing you.  If the sole reason they didn’t do the biopsy was because they thought it might have been caused by the jab then I would go back and see them again and make sure they hear you and take in the fact that the lump was already there before the jab.  Keep telling them until they can explain to you why they think it might have been caused by the jab when you are telling them it was there before the jab.  I mean, what a stupid thing to tell you.

I would also contact your GP and tell them this and see if they can help.

Most lumps turn out to be nothing so try not to assume the worst but do push them to investigate it sooner or give you a reason that makes sense if they think you should wait.

Let us know how you get on x

  • I completely agree with GodWilling here Naomi77. How frustrating for you.  It sounds like they have completely ignored the information you were trying to convey. I would not be happy to wait for 4 weeks, bless you. That is really unfair on you. Definitely get an appointment with your GP to press them on this matter. If no luck, would you be able to consider going for a second opinion possibly by going private? I went privately for the diagnostic side of things then back to the NHS for treatment. You may not have to do this as GodWilling said, but it may give you peace of mind to make sure you are not worrying for nothing?

I agree with the other two ladies!!! That’s crazy if the lumps were there b4 the jab! Don’t know much about lumps being in the lymph nodes but I imagine that’s the worse place a lump could be in as it has more chance to spread to other parts???? Was the person you saw a doctor? It must have been - right? Still, even if he / she was a doctor I would go back to my GP urgently and explain what happened and get urgent referral back - waiting 4 weeks seem crazy! Get going quick in the morning girl! Good luck and I hope it’s nothing.

Thank you so much for your replies. I have done an e consultation with my doctor so hopefully they will get back to me soon. I just felt like I was in the doctors way and she didn't want to listen to me.
