My breast care nurse has sent me my softie so now everything seems much more real. I now know I will come out with a drain and she has given me a lovely little bag to keep it in when I come home and a heart shaped cushion to go under my arm. I am more nervous now but I have to wait another month.
Hi
I didn't have the same type of cancer as you but I do understand how horrible waiting is! My best recommendation is to try and distract yourself with something that you enjoy doing. Do you have any hobbies or interests that you could spend more time with? Alternatively, even if you can't meet up with friends in person you could have a virtual coffee with them over Facetime or Skype.
Wishing you all the best

Thank you. I am not able to paint, which was my passion. I am really hoping the urge comes back when all this is over.
