Hi-I am wondering if anyone can help. I had my third session of FEC last week Wednesday. I had filgrastim injections every day until last night.
I had a really bad stiff neck on Saturday night. When I woke up Sunday morning, my entire back was one giant knot. It went into my chest and arms. I called the chemo nurse, and they thought that it was probably a result of the filgrastim. They recommended paracetamol. That seemed to help. The aches went away.
I had the second COVID shot on Monday. It seemed to really wipe me out physically.
I felt a little better today, with a bit more energy. Then this afternoon, my lower back started to hurt. It feels like it intermittently throbs. When it does, I can feel the throbbing in my heart at the same time. My hips now hurt as well. Also, it’s like a wave of throbbing comes over my whole body, including my head, when it happens, kind of like when you’re getting ill or a fever. My temperature is fine.
My question is, has anyone had anything like this, and could it be from the filgrastim again? I just feel so rotten today.
Thanks for listening.
Hello
When I was on filgrastim injections I felt pains like that. From my hips and back and in shoulders. I was in agony and also rang the help number to be told that it was probably the filgrastim. Hope this helps
