Tamoxifen supply issues

Hello everyone,

I have been taking tamoxifen for 7 months now and have just managed to stick with a brand that gives me minimal side effects (wockhardt) but I can’t seem to get it anywhere!
I tried relonchem last year - they made me sick and very drowsy and really achey - not good with a full time job and 3 year old daughter! And I also tried nolvadex (I think!) which made my hair fall out, I went through chemo last year so really want to avoid that if possible. Has anyone has any success with other brands? My pharmacist mentioned genesis?

Hello, yes I starting taking genesis 3 weeks ago. ( first batch of tamoxifen prescribed by the hospital). I had some headaches, fatigue and nausea for about one week almost like flu, but it has all settled down now and I feel absolutely fine, so I have just phoned my pharmacy as I want to stick with it now. My local branch don’t stock it, so I have sourced it from another chemist. I think each brand has different side effects for different people, so it might be different for you, but fingers crossed I’m ok on genesis at the moment. Good luck, let me know how you get on,
