Hi

just wanted to check what I can use on my dry/strange skin. Does anyone know what we can use ie collagen retinol etc

Thanks Bozzy

  • I'll be interested to know this too..... my skin is terrible, so, so dry and flaky in places xx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
  • Although I’m still using some of the stuff I used before treatment, which doesn’t have retinol or collagen, I’m also using the Jennifer Young face serum and my skin is holding up pretty well at the moment - apart from the mahoosive whiteheads I had after 1st EC, skin isn’t looking half bad. Just had 3rd EC today.

I always had sensitive skin so steered clear of retinol as that made my skin red and flaky. Don’t think I’ve ever knowingly used a product with collagen in, they’ve always had ingredients (with very fancy names) apparently designed to somehow promote collagen production. Who knows if that works though!

I dialled in for one of the Look Good Feel Better sessions last night and they covered off a good cleansing and moisturising routine, along with make up tips for disguising red/flushed/irritated skin. You get a goodie bag posted to you afterwards with suitable products - haven’t got that or used it yet but looking forward to getting it!

I had a fully made up face on for an hour last night - more than I probably ever did before - and it did give me a lift because I looked almost normal...for a little while. Worth checking out if you haven’t already.

Something else I bought for washing the rest of me was a MooGoo wash, which I’ve also used on my face - very soothing and leaves your face (and your body) very soft.  I also use the body cream. This was recommended to me by a colleague of my husband’s, also going through chemotherapy.

Hope you find something that works for you xx
