Struggling with tamoxifen..help!

Starting taking tamoxifen on Sunday and 4 days in a feel like 100 years old. I. On a brand called genesis and seem to have everyone of the side effects. Dry month, aches, pains, constant headache, so tired, blurred vision. I’m phoning the doctors tomorrow, and feel like a might try a different brand, but just wondered if anyone has any experience of this brand, or whether your side effects settled down over time.

Will the side effects get better?

Hi Cyprusfav, sorry you’re feeling so rotten on tamoxifen. I’m on Anastrozole so can’t really help, but thought I’d pop in anyway. There’s a thread on oestrogen reducing medications in the Diagnosis and treatments section which might help, although you may have looked there already. I’d definitely want to speak to the doctor re blurred vision, that’s not really something you can live with. Hope you get some answers from the doctor, maybe you could also check with the breast clinic? Love and hugs, HFxx

Thanks happyfeet1. Feeling a bit better today..think I panicked at the thought of suddenly feeling so unwell and was it going to,last for 10 years.

Im still interested to know what brands people have experienced.. no one in here seems to have posted much about the genesis brand at all.

Can anyone help?
