Hi there I found a lump & have been referred to 2week wait clinic as GP checked it out. I have 2 questions - what can I expect? Is it true that the longer you are there the more concerned they are & the more stages you go through?
Also is there anyone on here who had a lump and who was/ is on HRT? I've been on oestrogen gel & progesterone tablet since the middle of 2019..
Thanks for your help I'm in on Friday & very scared as lump is hard painful & big :(

Hello. I was recalled from my first routine screening to a one stop clinic. There were 5 of us there together for appointment- all been recalled . Firstly we all had a repeat mammogram and then saw Doctor. At this stage two were sent away as one had a cyst and the other they could no longer find what concerned them on original mammogram. The rest of us had biopsy though 2 were told before biopsy they had cancer . I was told only a 1% chance it was cancer. This was in 2015. In 2005 I went to GP due to lump under arm. I was referred to BC clinic where I had mammogram & ultrasound then saw doctor who said it was innocent fat pad!
Thanks Grogg appreciate your reply. Do you mind me asking did you have any other symptoms... I'm just tired all the time but othw ok...
So first time age 40 I had lump under arm. It was innocent fat pad. Then recall from first routine screening age 51. No lump, no pain, no out of sorts issues like tiredness.
I do find though when waiting for annual mammogram or results etc I get breast pain. Think it's just stress x
