Hi
I’ve had all a mastectomy and 20 lymph nodes removed and up until chemotherapy was having a weekly drain to help with fluid build up around mastectomy.
Now I’m in chemotherapy, I’ve been trying to exercise and sleep upright to try to self manage the fluid buildup around scar. I’ve noticed my middle seems to be getting bigger and wonder if fluid is draining to abdomen. I’m going to contact my breast nurse for advice, but has anyone else experienced this and if so, and advice on how to get fluid moving and out of abdomen?
thanks Carrie
Hi VWCarrie
I can't help with any experience but I spotted that your post hadn't had any replies yet. This is probably because this is such an active group that your post has fallen off the first page before someone with the right experience has seen it. By replying to you it will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussions list.
It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
I hope you're able to get this fluid build up sorted soon
x
