Pablociclib and letrozole combi

Hello everyone!

Please can anyone let me know if they are on this drug combination and how they are doing? I'm on them to shrink tumours, I've had a marker inserted but no clue as to when mastectomy will be happening. I've been told afterwards radiotherapy and poss chemo depending on how I get on. I can't stand the thought of losing my left breast but my tumours (2) are one 6 m in breast and one under breast tissue ( I'm scared to ask what that means) so I'm scared I won't have much breast to reconstruct. I'm a 40 E so am scared how I will look. I know I sound vain. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Hello there are lots of us on this wonder drug combo over in the secondaries group. Im on this combo (with a 3rd called goserelin).

From your message it doesn’t look like your treatment team are recommending surgery for you. But without knowing the particulars in your case, it’s really hard to comment, without it being possibly wrong.

Everyone is different and some women on this combo don’t require surgery, some of course will.

If you are worried about surgery, there’s no harm in letting your treatment team know this. They’ll reassure you and remind you that you have a say in your treatment options and decisions impacting your body won’t be made without you.
