Hi!

So I’m 3 months post chemo and hair is back! And thicker than ever and fingers crossed looks curly! (40 years of straight wishing for curly) but it’s also very white/grey (had been pre chemo, but was dyed).  I’m really keen to not go back down the permanent hair colour route, and I want to embrace the silver look.  I am tempted to a bit of pink or colour. Has anyone used “directions” hair dyes? Don’t want to damage my new hair.  Any hair ideas, tips, thoughts! So very welcome!
thank you in advance!

  • Hi there, haven’t used dyes as my hair hasn’t really grown back very well since chemo finished over a year ago but wanted to say I’m so pleased yours did and if I was you I’d go for the bit of pink or electric blue too!! Good luck with it and enjoy!! Slight smile Thanks for putting a smiling my face this morning! x

Thank you so much for your message. I’m sorry your hair hasn’t come back properly.  Do you use wigs? I highly recommend coloured wigs! I have several (blue, pink, red and purple) all from years going to festivals and really cheap! Gave a few a haircut and wear with scarves or hats to hide the cheaper looking bits of them!  X

  • Hi no I have never used a wig even when a baldy just wear lots of soft bamboo beanies!!

I have a prescription which I might use but then again I might not...supposed to be seeing a dermatologist so if they say my hair won’t come back I’ll consider a wig! Are they hot or uncomfortable? x

  • I have a hand tied wig & I wear it all day every day, it’s really comfy & I forget I’m wearing it. I had a voucher & there are 2 wig ladies at the hospital I go to, they are both lovely & even trimmed it a bit. I found one similar to my style online & they ordered it in for me. I have the hats but I find them very clostrophobic. I hope you get to see a dermatologist soon with good results x
