Hi Carolyn28,
Sorry to jump in but I agree, it's awful to try and navigate this "new" site. I struggle to get into my notifications and I am good on computers.
Take care and stay safe,

Hi LisaCardiff
Glad to hear that you are keeping busy and doing up your bedroom is a great idea. Glad you have your Dad to take you to the breast clinic at Llandough. Unless it has changed I think you will have to go in alone, so maybe encourage your dad to take a book etc. to pass the time.Hope I'm not misleading you again -a phone call will confirm or deny this !
All good with me -having a phone consultation with Oncology team tomorrow -suspect it will be a sign off. Sending hugs
Hi Kwissy,
Please don't think you are misleading me. When I spoke to the receptionist she told me that only I can go in and my dad can go to their restaurant. My dad says he will drop me off (my mum has heart and chest problems and is on oxygen 16 hours a day) and I will have a taxi home.
Apart from here, I am trying to keep of Dr. Internet, as it depressing and frightening.
I hope you are feeling okay and not fatigued.
Take care and stay safe,

HI LisaCardiff,
Glad you have got it all sorted out for your clinic appointment.Have you spoken to any of the Macmillan nurses-early on I contacted them and they were informative and best of all up to date - that conversation was what led me to this community and thus kept me sane ( ?? )
My radiotherapy treatment was the" Fast Forward "so only 5 days of treatment. Much easier to cope with than 25 days previously. Less side effects too and have not felt fatigued. All in all a big improvement.
Stay calm and breathe deeply and continue to do things you enjoy. Sending hugs xx
Hi Kwissy,
Wow! Your radiotherapy was/is 5 days. That is good. Like your previous radiotherapy I too had 25 sessions when I had cervical cancer nearly 6 years ago.
I haven't thought of speaking to a Macmillan nurse as I start crying. It is a good idea and thank you for mentioning it.
I had a look earlier and the lump is still in my armpit and one breast is larger than the other, so that set me off.
Plus I hurt my heel and it is painful to walk and I automatically start thinking the worst.
Sorry to go on. I am glad you are not fatigued. I don't work due to having two stomas and my mobility isn't great as I j had to learn to walk again because I was in bed for so long because of the treatment and operations. So I worry about fatigue..I don't like being a worry wart, as I wasn't like this before. I try not to worry over every ache and pain but I do.
I will certainly give a thought to contacting the nurses.
Take care and stay safe.

Hi LisaCardiff,
Sorry to hear that you still have the lump in your armpit and that one breast is bigger than the other. There could be many reasons for this as I'm sure you realise. If you start to feel that you are getting a raised temperature and feeling unwell I would contact your GP again You have really been through the works one way and another and I understand your worry. It will all get sorted out but the waiting is a b......! I would encorage you to speak to the Macmillan nurses and I am sure they are well used to people being in tears so don't let that put you off.
I was signed off by the Oncologist yesterday so that is another step ticked on my journey. Take care of yourself -sending big but gentle hugs xx
Hi Kwissy,
That is great news being signed off by the oncologist. Well done.
The lump.in my armpit seems flatter and not so pronounced. My left breast is a bit bigger than my right breast but you would have to study it. I still have a little bit of breast pain but not so bad. I am trying to look for the good things.
I will have a think over the weekend about contacting the Macmillan nurses.
I am so pleased you have been signed off by your oncologist. Have a great weekend.
Take care and stay safe,
