Hi Kwissy,
Thank you for replying.
I hope you are feeling better and brighter and Kiradun too.
I am.okayish now and trying not think to much about it or keep looking at the lump under my arm.
I will leave it a couple of days and ring my GP back for a chat. I have been discharged from Velindre and I was thinking about contacting my previous oncologist but as I am discharged she may tell me to go back to my GP.
I hope you have a lovely day and believe the weather is getting nicer this week.
Thank you for being so kind,
Lisa x

Hi LisaCardiff
Glad you are a bit better, I was called the next day about an appointment did have to wait for 2 weeks for it but was glad I had a date, why don't you give either Llandough or Cathedral Road a call, I'm sure it would put your mind at rest?
I'm calling Velindre today as I have a holiday booked for the beginning of September and even though my consultant has told me to go and enjoy, I am concerned about the start of chemo - he has told me they wont start chemo until 4 - 6 weeks after surgery which would fit in nicely with the holiday but part of me thinks if they start it now, I could have had 2 sessions undertaken by the time I return, just want a second opinion I guess.
Hoping you get your appointment soon
Kira xx
Hello Kiradun1,
First of all, contact Velindre and see what they say. It sounds like an idea and thank you for your reply
I had a phone call today from the Breast Clinic in Llandough and I have an appointment for Wednesday 26th August at 9.00am. While I am glad-ish I now have an appointment, I am scared. I am noticing all sorts of symptoms and I don't know if they have just come on or I have had them before.
Anyway, you get stronger and enjoy your holiday.
Take care,

Hi LisaCardiff
So glad that you have now got a date for the breast clinic-sorry it's another wait for you but in the meantime keep posting on here and keeping us up to date.It is strange how a lot of us notice all sort of symptoms at the stage you are at now and a lot of them fade away once you have a proper dignosis. Take care and try to stay positive. Sending lots of love and big hugs xxKwissy
how do we search for old posts and threads?
thanks

Hi Carolyn28,
I’m Eliza from the Community team. If you’re looking for a specific thread, you can use the search bar at the top of your screen to search for the title of a discussion.
You can also find older discussion threads by scrolling to the bottom of “discussions” in a group, where you can use the blue buttons to navigate through the pages. Discussions are organised by the most recent response.
If you're looking for your own previous posts and content, you can access these by going to your profile and clicking on "Activity." You can read a step-by-step guide here on accessing your profile.
Our Help pages should hopefully be useful if you’d like to find out more about navigating groups and discussions.
I hope this helps, but please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at community@macmillan.org.uk if you have any questions or would like any further support.
Take care,
Eliza

I know it seems a long way off but it will soon be here, I did exactly the same, thought I had more pain, looked different etc but I do think we are just so focused on our problem areas that they overtake any rational thoughts, try and focus on other things and cross any diagnosis when you get it - easier said than done I know but try and stay positive .
Take care
Kira
Hi Kiradun1,
Sorry to go on and I worry about everything you are going through and you don't need me blathering on.
I hope you are feeling better and brighter today.
I agree, about the pain, the lump looks bigger, my breast looks bigger,.etc.,. I am trying to be positive and not think too much about it. I was like that when I went through cervical cancer. I knew I had but I thought to myself that I didn't. Yea, I had sepsis and learning to walk again which kept my mind on other things.
I am currently doing up my bedroom. Which is keeping me occupied and I am waiting for somethings to be delivered.
Take care and stay safe,

Hi Kwissy,
Thank you for your reassurance. I hope you are good and thinking about you.
I am keeping myself busy and doing up my bedroom. Just waiting for somethings to be delivered.
Yea, it seems a long way off but because I am such a scaredy cat, that is fine. When my dad takes me I will probably have a breakdown. Plus, I am trying not to look up things online, as it is awful.
Stay safe and take care,
