But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

That must have been such fun, seaspirit44 , singing in a famous big theatre like that! What a wonderful memory.

I’m a bit later getting going today but am popping into the museum to test out what we worked on last Monday. Then I’m going to use my badge to hopefully go onto the Bletchley Park side of the fence and have a look at an exhibition that’s been open around a year, hope it’s as good as some of the volunteers claim. (Funded by an outside company, not the Park itself, which seems to be the way they are going now)

Back home. I did check out the smaller machine which seems to be running beautifully after all our work last Monday. I used my badge and went round the Park, the newer stuff is ok (funded by BAE Systems) and better than some of the past exhibits but there’s still so much to read and so little explained by ‘people’ so you can’t ask questions, of course. We succeed BECAUSE of the human interaction.
Sat and ate lunch outside, it was so warm. Clouded over now…..(story of my life, haha!)
Next Saturday I will be having Henry-dog so it will be a couple of weeks till I’m back in the museum (engineering days don’t normally happen on Bank Holidays)

I’ve done a lot today in spite of an early but lazy start. Retrieved a pedestal fan from its winter space and cleaned it. Washing (hung out, now taken in dry) then some grow more forked in in places that needed it, courgette plants planted out, edges of lawn cut, lawn raked, and then a break for some lunch…..just mowed the lawn and I’m back indoors with feet up for a few minutes. Phew!
thank goodness it’s not an engineering day tomorrow, I’d be shattered!

I don't know where you get your energy or drive from moomy.
I had a lazy morning yesterday. Then went round to help my daughter with my grandchildren as they are all poorly. Yes, more exposure to the dreaded lurgy but she is 24 weeks pregnant and needed help. Then I went to get nuts from the garden centre for rhe bird feeder and then to Pets at Home for some food for my degu.
I got home, had a coffee and then out to the cinema to see the film The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry with Jim Broadbent and Penny Wilton. It was a really good film.
Then home for tea and a catch up of Taskmaster on TV with my son.
I also slept badly as one of my cats was on the bed and got spooked by something. In launching herself up onto the bed head she scratched my eyelid so I was in pain all night. Fortunately, my eye had been shut. Much as I adore my cats they will be shut out of the bedroom at night from now on.
Cat!!
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
