But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Fab, Jayhay !
Im really gutted at the news that the BBC is going to axe its finest chamber choir, BBC Singers, and are also going to reduce its orchestras. So incredibly short sighted. It’s bad enough that music has been so badly hit in our schools, there will soon be nothing for the youngsters to aspire to! The Arts has been so denigrated by the Government.

This is not a political forum so I always try to keep my views to myself on such matters but sometimes one just wants to scream 'These selfish arrogant self serving people who have systematically broken down, sold off and destroyed anything that was good about this country for their own agenda' But I won't.
moomy I'm just outside Derby so if you need actual weather report as in I can look out window, do let me know. Its amazing that the BBC for one compared to say weather app on phone is so different. Main roads are fine. Had light flurries today but not settled and everywhere just wet. Safe journey x
I will need to set off by 7am on Friday I think, will be putting the wee heater on in the van as soon as I get up, hope that will help.
I can foresee a 5.30 alarm….
Thank you for your help, Tired MinionH

I guess one advantage is that Goldie is my home on wheels, got bedding back in there (it was indoors against possible damp! And I’ve always got some emergency clothing, have put extra medication in too. There’s 3 flasks of water as I won’t fill up the onboard tank in this weather, will take a couple more flasks too, plus foods and drinks.
Magazines as well, I expect I will be sitting in the dealership for a while, though it’s very near the centre so some shopping might be beckoning!
