But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Oh Mag123 I bet he just forgot? We did at times, it doesn’t mean he loves you any less of course….
glad you’re finding the new job enjoyable.
Daughter got through all the Barcelona airport stuff fairly quickly and to her hotel which is overlooking the sea, she said she passed cruise ships and yachts en route, has gone to bed as she needs to get her laptop properly set up for her talk at 8am.
I’ve just watched Pride and Prejudice on Netflix, enjoyable (even though no Mr Darcy’s wet shirt moment which was such fun in the BBC series). It cut chunks out of the story too but great to see Judi Dench, Penelope Wilton, Donald Sutherland and Tom Hollander take some great parts!

I just had a theme of an old pop song run through my mind and had to look it up, ‘Until the Twelfth of Never’ (Johnny Mathis) and it suddenly summed up my feelings of everlasting love as I said my usual goodnight to hubs, shed a tear or two but I’m so thankful that we were together for so long.

3 miles walked in spite of not having Henry, I went to check what had been done as the lane outside the town on our side was shut yesterday. I had vaguely hoped they were addressing the broken dip that has suddenly appeared, but no, it seems it was to cut back a hedge! (It’s a single track road)
Glad I didn’t have the dog as it’s a rat run and drivers do still hurtle down there!
Washing is blowing out on the line, lovely.

Goodness me, Moomy you've had it hard these last few years honey. You really must take time for yourself now!! My cancer was caught quite early like yours but I know you don't feel any less shocked or upset! Good luck honey. XX
Ha, yes, the last decade or so has been tough. However, I CAN take time for me now, forced to really as I’m on my own.

Had a chat with son, bless him he’s coming over (after taking Stanley-dog to the vet for an op on a skin lesion) to help and advise about my hifi, we will take the units to a shop and get advice (plus help to remove the jammed CD!) then on Tuesday he’s planning to stay over so we can have dinner and a drink to hubs on what would be his 76th birthday.
Daughter is safely home from Barcelona but will soon (48 hours) be off to Miami, Florida, to speak at another conference, then straight onto Belfast to play solos! She’s such a busy lass.
I’ve signed to do the demos on the next 3 Saturdays but am thinking of whisking off to use the moho….
