But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Ah thanks Flossie25 im kind of ok…waiting is so hard and I’ve done that so often.
blood test today for infusion of Zoledronic Acid on Monday…s.e. Are different each time.
im trying to eat better, no pastries, ice creams and exercise more as I don’t like my photo but its going to be a struggle …we have M&S as our corner shop…
may be not good timing but I think I’ll try, I eat fruit f veg & salds and enjoy those…& drink lots water…
we didn’t get this heat last summer I don’t think, grass is straw! Trying to keep the fruit trees from dying, some are small, had some plums! Raspberries have suffered, tiny and some shriveled, oh well I can trim and wait for next year….

I’d be terrible if M&S was in the corner Jayhay well done for resisting though. Every little helps. I’ve not bought biscuits or chocolate for a while but still having “some” plain madeleines. Garden very dry here but expecting more rain.
Hope your infusion goes well on Monday. You’d think se’s would be the same ?!

Will be thinking of you Jayhay especially as waiting for someone else somehow feels harder? I’m waiting for daughter again too, as she will be seen by an ENT person to remove the neck node for full testing as the core biopsies weren’t conclusive. That’s next week. Hope they can remove the neck node quickly.
im with Flossie25 an M&S as my corner shop would be sooooo tempting! But I’m maintaining the stone loss I managed before climbing into this treadmill again, I blame the Exemestane for my problems trying to lose the bulk round my middle!
coughing fit….argh!

Hope you’re coping, Jayhay and Flossie25 as it’s getting hot again today, thunderstorms forecast from 9pm tonight but I bet it won’t!
The sinuses woke me around 3.30 and I had to resort to steaming. Managed to get back to sleep eventually and then an asthma cough woke me a bit after 6. Decided to slowly get going then as it’s going to be hot today, had my morning coffee, stripped bedding, into the wash, showered, out for my 2 mile walk, mowed the hay that likes to call itself a lawn (the long bits had got unsightly!) and then had breakfast! Then of course, the antibiotics and steroid tablets which are making a difference, left eustachian tube suddenly unblocked, yay! Plus the leg wounds red ring round it now is fading to pink….
Now about to put out the washing…. And then feet up!

Chat re meds with my GP this evening, he’d been concerned I’d dropped a couple as the repeats hadn’t been frequent; no I hadn’t but as I’d had holidays I’d built up a bit of stock. He understood of course. He checked I was still taking all on my list, which I am (plus of course the hospital prescribed ones of Abemaciclib and loperamide!). I then asked about quinine as I’ve noticed the night/early morning foot cramps are less when I’ve used tonic (ones with quinine in them) so he’s happy to prescribe that to see if it helps.
we chatted about my holiday injury too and the fact that at last the red ring round the gouge is turning pink, showing it’s improving, as is the sinusitis now I’m taking doxycycline. Also mentioned the Eurostar disaster which my brother had been stuck in, he remembered hearing that on the news!
so, a worthwhile chat.
and now watching the Proms.
