But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

My creativity has paused. I sketched me from a photo…. I knitted a hat for me but undid it!! It’s been a while since knitting and sadly my hands and wrists hurt and during the night I wake with pinsnd needles.
I will finish and go back to drawing or sewing in new year…..as…..
I’ve been given calligraphy / ink nibs from sis, (I gave her pretty necklace) and also - drum roll - a needle raft model so I can sew garments to fit!! Yay! Gulp!
birthday puzzle and an oldie too!

What is a needle raft model? I haven't heard of this? Sounds intriguing. I made clothes in needlecraft lessons at school and one of my favourite TV programmes is tge Sewing Bee, but I doubt I could follow a pattern now. When I sewed a new zip into my jacket a few weeks ago, I just did it. I didn't really know what to do and had no instruction on it. I have a knitting pattern I bought online to make myself a dress but can't fmunderstand thevinstructions! Tge local knitting shop said tgey would help me but they have closed down. I should love to be more crafty.
Pants!!!! Son has tested positive! And as he was here Friday (and we hugged) I’ve tested too just in case, negative thus far though.
At present he feels as if it’s a bit of a sniffly cold and cough, doesn’t feel unwell. But I suspect his mixing in a (very cold) church on Saturday, since the incubation period seems quite short with current variants.
So once I heard, I masked up (as I was at the museum), told my fellow Bombe personnel and came home to test, have duly emailed them. also told family of course. Fingers crossed son can get negative in time for Christmas! However I do remember one year after daughters bone marrow transplant that we had ‘Christmas’ in a February!
