But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Are we all the fruit loops??
my memory is lacking somewhat (and catching up here) I forget words, I have to really think what day it is or reference the day to what has happened or will happen
we will be on Isle of Wight for the funeral so hubbie is setting up another monitor to watch , with sister in law and her hubbie.
I was early for my Dexa, have rearranged it for next month now as they queried the date, saying my last one was October 3 years ago and they don’t want to bring it forward, even a month! So it was a wasted journey. Thankfully it was very nearly on my route home.
Anyone on the ‘AWAKE’ thread is automatically a Fruit Loop, not necessarily on this thread though, but most that post are using both this and AWAKE.
Watching Her Majesty’s coffin arrive in the cathedral, everyone must have practised this so much, even though never wished, they make it look so dignified and regal.

Glad not a long distance journey for nothing!! I dip into iplayer, then radio, even this morning they still talking about HRH…..
rehearsals have been happening over recent years I reckon to have all that’s planned run so smoothly. I know bell ringers were told what the ‘tunes’ would be 3 years ago.
saw the 8 bells at our church being rung on Saturday
Hubbie up there in the dusty loft. Bells unmuffled
Blue ball muffled.
it’s fascinating and so much history in the making!
