But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Some super shots of our lass in Jools Holland tonight, the only female trombonist of course!
She said they were really cold as there were so many doors open!

So good for her to have done only her second gig in the entire year! Yes she’s had a lot of work and has several important projects running to work on, as well as her teaching from home, but really missed playing live music with her colleagues.
Happy we have it recorded so I can watch and pick her out shot by shot!
Happy New Year

We were so happy and proud! She’s also been listed in a select group of brilliant trombonists in the world, is president-elect of the International Trombone Association and has already done sterling work increasing worldwide publicity of the association’s worldwide festivals, sadly cancelled last year due to the virus. She’s got two fascinating projects she’s working in at present, hope they both come to fruition.

I’m trying to remain active in spite of not going out for walks which I really miss, but the motivation is still there as I want to get back to walks when I’ve had my vaccination, can’t wait!
washing almost finished....(oh this is getting boring!) and now that I’ve exercised I’m hungry, watching James Martin hasn’t helped there, either! And yes I’m now rambling.....

Another grey day, looks as if it rained (again)
I'm feeling so annoyed at the virus, it’s isolated so many of us and reduced our enjoyment of life, I’m frustrated and stuck. We have a lovely van out there but can’t use it; so utterly annoying. And we have a country who do not obey rules, and a government who delay making them! I’m watching the chief blusterer on tv now. The virus rates started on the up the moment schools and colleges went back? And why can ‘they’ not seeing that? Testing is acting BEHIND the bug, not in front of it!

moomyI've just been swearing at a women on BBC news! She was being interviewed about children going back to school . A intelligent women I would believe as she a solicitor .
She is adamant primary schools should go back her poor children need to be there . Plus she felt she was trying to be three people Solicitor, teacher and mum. Would have been a sensible argument except she said it was difficult because she was working from HOME ...I would have asked why ? If it safe for kids to go to school and therefore school staff need to work then get yourself into office !!
My daughters school is struggling so much with bubbles in and out because of infection amongst primary children this means not enough staff in to control or teach . They have plastic apron to wear and mask + face shield .
Better news is son now out of self isolation with no symptoms developing after contact . Also granddaughter although not well ,seems to be coping with covid at the minute on day 4/5
Like you and many others I'm so sick of being indoors .I only just started to get back out after harsh chemo SE when shielding arrived last March .So difficult to stay fit still will go out for walk choosing where carefully .You are allowed to travel short distance to open space for exercise so why not take van for run moomy then a little walk .
