But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Bless you, gina62, I’m fine, through all of it except the Letrozole (a med reducing oestrogen as my breast cancer is 8/8 oestrogen fed; in other words, oestrogen keeps it going!)
letrozole reduces bone density and I already had osteoporosis so I’m on meds for that long term!
Do phone your breast care unit if you feel you’d like to talk, the breast care nurse should be able to give you a time to meet up and be there to help you....my unit is small but very busy and there are 3 BCN’s who will get to know you and any will be able to set aside time for their patients. I’ve seen all of them at different times, they are great!

Hairdresser was astonished how much my hair had grown in 6 weeks.....so top and tail it was yesterday. Thankful for my podiatrist, to be honest, one friend and Bombe colleague has an ulcer under a blister and is walking with a limp, poor chap. He’s got antibiotic cream and dressings to do daily.
we experimented today by running a new ‘ menu’ on the Bombe, got varying results. Visitors were interested seeing it being set up.

Hi Santababy,
yes we loved it, and will no doubt watch again very soon! We have the whole series on DVD, loved them (watched several times) and had the film on pre-order! We did just get changed, and put away the shopping first....(just!)
