But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Feeling manky! But that’s usual on these antibios. Just managed a slice of toasted cheese, hope it stays down.
In other news, I got going on the rich fruit cake (hands were carefully washed!) and it’s in the oven smelling amazing....and daughter is presently in Istanbul waiting for her second flight to Heathrow and hoping that her baggage lands safely there too!

Hi moomy, pants to another UTI!!! Good you’ve got on to it quickly but horrible all the same. B******s to aromitase inhibitors, I’m sure that’s why I got my first UTI in 30 years a few months ago. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon. HFxx
Thanks, HappyFeet1,
I’ve just had a long nap and feeing loads better, some of the urgency has now gone, phew!
cuss AI’s!
daughter is safely in Istanbul awaiting her next flight.....and my cake looks ace. It’s for the celebration of 80 years since the first Bombe machine arrived at Bletchley Park. We have a full day of talks and demos planned plus the birthday cake of course! so the worry of icing it belongs in March.....

Morning!
my Bombe drum cake was cold last night so got wrapped up safely. Hubs (who is diabetic!) said it smelt so good and I have enough ingredients so could I make another so I could practise the icing and he could help eat it! Hmmmm, perhaps not!
slept really well after yoga but I’m a wee bit sore, shoulders and neck as we spent a lot of time on all fours, woke with alarm as I needed to take the Alendronate before antibiotic.....it seems the antibiotic is doing it’s job well!

Took my sample to the Med centre and just had a phone call saying its clear. Well! I was getting urgency, pain, back pain and difficulty starting to wee, all classic symptoms. The nurse agreed I was right to start and agreed I should complete the course.
and I now don’t have the urgency......so was I starting an infection? Maybe......
so I walked there (just over a mile) but as I’ve nearly as far to walk again later this afternoon (and will walk back) to the dentist, and the bus was coming in, and it was drizzling, I got the bus to near home!
