But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Plenty of exercise today, 2+ miles walked and yoga this evening! That’ll make up for having a lazy day on Sunday!
daughter has, I hope, turned a corner; she was unwell while in Iceland and had just one day to turn around and fly out to do a solo tour in the USA. She lost her voice and developed sinus pain, and tried to carry on but in the end cancelled her follow on plans and flew home early, landing a week ago. Since then she’s felt weak, exhausted and just simply too unwell to even get the dog walked, just been in pjs most of the time. I advised she check her temp as she’s prone to going downhill seriously easily (clinically very low immune system due to her very long illness with lymphoma and so much treatment) but all seems ok so far. She texted to say it’s a cold and cough now, but will still keep a check on temp.

Hahaha, no I’m not strong, but refuse to get old! (I’m 74) so keeping active is a way of doing that, I guess...

Hahahahaha! Yup, 74, before Letrozole I think I was around 34, (the kids think I’m mad -and crazy but love it!) but now a good 54!!!!! (should really say before cancer but it’s the Letrozole that has aged me!) mentally I’m still growing up, lol!
been for an almost 4 mile walk this morning, it was such a cold wind but far too sunny to stay in!

Oh, but the cancer was removed in one fell swoop by a Mx (well, two really as the op got repeated 30 hours later due to bleeding) ........no chemo or rads needed.....
And my other explanation? I am retired so can pace myself to be able to do all the stuff I love!

A tiny rant coming up....
workmen are ok but not when they begin noisily cutting the path right in front of the house well before 8am!
They have been installing the fibre optic cable for super fast broadband in our street, and quick and considerate (unless you decide you’d like a lie in!) and moved stuff on Saturday when we needed to get out.
I have no idea whether we will ever want fibre to the house, it sounds incredibly fast though. And the contract gives 18 months a bit cheaper than we pay now; but will it be really expensive after that 18 months?
answers on a postcard! Rant over
