But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

When I left work to have our eldest (1975) a consultant pointed out that to keep the NHS going properly they needed to recruit 50% of all school leavers from then on.....
did it happen? Of course not! So, AnnJac, we are dangerously short of GPs and in fact, most hospital staff.

And daughter has had her cannula out, all treatment done and she’s been practising, which means as a brass musician she feels better and can breathe easily, YAY!!!!
After yesterdays late walk I had some backache but after a rest it seems ok, certainly coped with this morning’s walk of 4+ miles!

Anyone else get annoyed at the site repeatedly going offline? It keeps telling me I’VE gone offline, attempting to reconnect, but it’s the site!!!!
pathetic!

Hi Lesley,
how are you doing?
and Flossie, Eddiboy, Seaspirit and Violetsniff, I think of you all often and it’s good to see you post.....
in other news, daughter seems to be doing ok, she has begun practising again so lungs must be clear and breathing easy. She’s away in the camper van (just a very few miles but enough to enjoy it) and I hope recuperating.
Hugs to all xxx

Hi Lesley
I'm fine thank you, feeling a bit frustrated with the weather, it’s trying to drizzle a bit here but is just very windy and cloudy. And I will let you into a secret, I haven’t done a lot of cleaning here either, apart from bathroom and kitchen which get wiped with the relevant wipes daily! I hate cleaning! (And now of course the whole site knows!)
as far as I know daughter is doing fine, she’s out and about in the camper van so must be feeling ok!

Hi and moomy, I hate cleaning too.Weather is drizzly and warm, but I'm quite happy with that. Don't like it too nor, rain cools me down. Had a lovely walk, and my hair doesn't seem any different from the rain! Xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
