But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Hi AnnJac, and everyone,
Sorry not to have posted quickly...I had a bit of help offered with the garden wilderness and was out of my tree (unintentional pun) with tiredness due to trying to do my share of the work, (didn't have time to even switch the computer on )but very happy to make the garden look less sad. To update> didn't notice much difference in only three days off letrozole, but emotionally it helped because I have to really force myself at night to take it. So it was a sort of 'fingers up' feeling.
Next job will be to try to find out more about Letrozole.
AnnJack I hope you have had the go ahead for radiotherapy. If you have it is fine as treatment , just time consuming. It's effect anyway needs luck for everyone as it depends on the lymph nodes affected, and if the tumour was not too aggressive in type, As you have had a delay you will probably benefit later because I was given a next day appointment immediately when I rang about the small lump, possibly because our notes say we need to catch up.
Just seen 2 blackbirds frantically trying to feed a big brown cuckoo chick.near the bird table. ...we all know how they feel '
Love to all..enjoy the weather. xx
Funny you mention cuckoo, Calador, I heard one today while on my walk, the first I’ve heard for quite a few years.
Got 2 washing loads done, dry and in the airing cupboard (smells lovely when dried outside) and did lots of odd jobs outside as well as mowing the lawn. AND my walk too!

Hi calador et al
I stopped taking Letrozole 6 days ago. I think I am less breathless. But still really hard walking but that probably down to my foot drop. I will start taking again on Thursday and see what happens then.
And moomy - hope your anti histamines are helping with your aches again. And how lovely to have such a musically talented family. As well as such a loving one.
Hi AnnJac,
yes I seem to be back to normal, whatever normal is/was!

Puzzler, I love putting sweet smelling laundry away!
Yes the lawn looks ok in spite of it’s raking and dead moss areas, beginning to grow back green again.
Watered all the ‘food’ production parts this evening , and watched a bit of Chelsea in envy!

Had a lot of varicose vein aches last night so I need to elevate that leg today and I’m wearing a compression sock. It’s the first time it’s bothered me for a while.
Today the plan is to do a bit of shopping so will get a bit of walking done round supermarkets!
Thinking of AnnJac as she goes to Buck House for a VERY posh and well deserved afternoon Garden Party tea! Walk tall, lovely lady and enjoy every moment, you deserve it!
