But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Oddly it’s made me perhaps a little more tearful. But I’m coping

Today had a very moving time with the celebrant we have chosen, talking about hubs’ life and the incredible amount he packed into 74 years. At the end, as she went out she said she is doing this as a friend and doesn’t want the fees, to give that to the charity we have chosen and it really set me off again.
Daughter and I managed to get all done that she wanted, so she has everything she needs now to produce something that, I know you’ll all enjoy and find poignant and comical at the same time. It was a slightly surreal time staying away, leaving son to handle things here and it moved me so much seeing the huge pile of cards I had to open on my return, even a letter from the GP senior partner in recognition of the work hubs had done in the PPG.

So, music chosen and when; Dvorak ‘ Symphony from the New World’ (‘Going Home’ - the Hovis advert, for those of you who don’t know it) to go in, then Grimethorpe Colliery Band playing Men of Harlech (hubs was half Welsh) , when the first slide show of photos is shown, then John Williams playing Cavatina, for the second slide show, then Sull’aria from Marriage of Figaro for the committal, and finally Dolly Parton with Ladysmith Black Mambazo ‘Knocking on Heavens Door’ to exit, he always said he’d have that at his funeral! It will hopefully make everyone laugh.
