But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Glad they’re sorting out hubby moomy, no wonder he’s been feeling so cold and exhausted. But stay off stools!! You’ve quite enough to be dealing with, without injuring yourself too! Hope hubby feels much better after his stay in hotel nhs, and that you rest up while he’s being looked after. Xxx
Bless you! He only left here 40 minutes ago!
hope he’s in the ward by now and feeling looked after.

So far what he knows is they are treating the raised potassium levels, once they are low enough he can have blood transfusions, then if the staff agree they can scan possibly on Sunday. The contrast has potassium in it so they are being ultra-cautious.
neither of us got much sleep, he was being treated for the potassium levels overnight, one of our neighbours kindly (!) started to use a power saw at 7 this morning! And I was too sore to sleep much too. No obvious bruising on my bum yet but it is sore to sit upright and my arm bled well, dressing changed but I’ve booked a nurse appointment just booked for this afternoon to get it checked and dressings organised. The Klinik system is clunky and a bit clumsy but got a result!
Got a very caring letter from breast surgeon after my appointment

Latest blood test shows potassium level has gone UP!!! So nebuliser and more fluids.... poor chap! Apparently potassium has to be stable and a good level before he can have transfusions. Ag least we know the drill this time.....
I've just been to get my arm looked at, a new dressing and a spare for Sunday, with packs of gauze, and she insisted it got checked on Tuesday too. So another walk.....goodness I feel a bit sore!

Sounds like a lovely nurse moomy, insisting that it gets checked next week. She probably knows you’re likely to soldier on otherwise! Better safe than sorry. Poor Mr Moomy, hope they get him sorted quickly and that he can have the scan too while he’s there. Xxx
He’s having to drink a yukky calcium stuff but don’t know how often. He’s coping, and not too annoyed, knows they system now, and my arm is lots more comfy. I’ve got aches and pains, think I twisted while falling to get off my face and onto my bum! But it will settle in a day or two I’m sure!
