But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Sleep has been hard to find and keep last night, I’m still quite tearful. But I guess that is to be expected!Â
Bit more sore (just an ache really) around the new boob too, but that’s probably the first drain removal still settling down, minus it’s vacuum!
I guess I will need my afternoon nap today, just to catch up!Â

I’m doing that Helen, as yes, if I miss an hour or so I feel twitches from all over the place! (Junkie? No way!)Â

Inspired by James Martin I too had a fish finger sandwich for lunch, a bit more prosaic than his, admittedly but delicious all the same!Â
A good nap after a wee bit of gardening, well hubs cut the lawn and I dead headed the tete a tete daffs and pulled up, oh, at least two tiny weeds....
Then a lovely long nap and now we are both sitting in the garden, first in the so welcome sun, then having got rather warm, now on our bench in the shade admiring it all. Not a huge patch but we like it!

Enough energy (just) to get a bolognese type meat sauce to go with the tagliatelle for dinner.....onion, mince, herbs, carrot, courgettes and mushrooms in a tomato based sauce.....oh heck, I can see you’ll all be round for dinner and there’s only enough for two......!Â
What an amazing afternoon it’s been in our little sun trap of a garden. Thankfully there’s a shady side as well as a sunny side, and we’ve alternated!Â

Wish I’d realised, I’d have cooked a great big pot full!Â
Then yes, open house!Â

My day sounds like both of yours moomy and Grass got its first cut of the year by OH and I did some heavy duty weeding (as last i can do for several weeks). Went for a walk with dog round the park - good exercise as its on a hill. In the morning watched James Martin too and impressed with the fish finger sarnie, and shocked that it was 14 years since he did Strictly
My next operation is Monday (only a SNB) but just found out the one of my friends is in for an eye operation at the same hospital on that day too to, so it will be lovely if we bump into each other on the pre/post op ward.
Waiting for the OH to cook dinner - been giving him subtle hints about time and put all the ingredients out of the side so all he has to do is make it. Can hear dishes clattering so think he is on the case. Oh no he has a problem with the timer, must go
Glad you are moving in the right direction moomy xxx
Will be thinking of you tomorrow, Eddiboy, and hoping all goes well and you get the very same as me, total negative!Â
Feeling much better today, last night again I got a good 9 hours of wonderful healing sleep (night before was rubbish which probably explains why yesterday was a bit rough!) in fact I feel (almost) full of energy!Â
Bread machine is on (if anyone wants fresh warm bread and lashings of butter, you’ll have to wait till around 12.30, haha!) and washing machine has just finished and is nagging me with its buzzer, but till I’ve finished my breakfast I will ignore it! Yes, breakfast is a touch late but morning coffee is the important thing and that was 8am!Â
Hugs to you all xxx
