But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Daughter and I booked (independently) into the same class! She was disappointed as it wasn’t anywhere near the standard she’d done before in a different gym. I too didn’t think a lot to it, same person had done a supposed Hatha yoga class which wasn’t Hatha at all. Ah well.
I treated her to lunch as she’d driven us both here. She’s busy in the steam room (sinuses are still giving her trouble)
The e-gym stays say I’m 65 years old, not bad for an 80 year old!

It’s sunny today here, thankfully Flossie25 but I was so late waking as I’d had a rough night…. Only just finished my morning coffee at almost 11am. However I have taken Henry-dog for his ‘empty’ mile walk and found the windchill made getting poo bags ready a bit tricky with cold hands!

Lovely massage of the radiotherapy area this afternoon. On chatting to my therapist she said the local gym offers cancer patients a reduced rate, includes a personalised exercise programme, classes and use of the pool. Interesting, it’s LOADS less than David Lloyd of course,
might think about that after Christmas….

Hope you had a better nightmoomy Local leisure centres will be better value than private facilities. Hubby is a member of our local one. Discounted senior rate available. It’s cheaper for him to be a member to play indoor bowls and of course he can access the gym, has included induction, programme of classes and use of pool. He mainly uses the gym but he’s there doing something 6 days a week. I really should join too.
