Just thinking ladies, as we are all going through much the same journey that we should have a thread on here for crafts. I am sure there are lots of you knitting, crocheting, sewing etc to keep the dreaded side effects at bay and help us cope day to day.
I personally knit and have posted on here some of my knitting. Would be nice to see/hear what other people do. We could share pictures, hints and tips as well
So I will start with a couple of things I have done in the last few days.
This is my slouch hat that I finished on Friday night. Will be wearing it for the first time today!!
This was on the needles saturday night ......
And finished saturday night. A little headband/earwarmer for my granddaughter.
I am now off to have my PICC line inserted ready for 2nd round of chemo tomorrow (!!!!!!):)
Hope to see lots of pics when I come back!!
Have a good day everyone xx
Been rushing around like a maniac lately. Husband started his chemo on 24th April, on a 2 weekly cycle, so that 4 appointments every 2 weeks!! And then I have got to have an MRI tomorrow to check on my BC before a clinic appointment next week. But I have found time to finish off my cross stitch Magical Arrival dragon. I will make her into a wall hanging and display her nearer Christmas. I'm calling her a a dragonette - maybe naming her Kaida. She looks too sweet to grow up to be a big nasty dragon!!
- I love that! We like dragons in this house...
I have several cross stitches on the go (including St. George and the dragon!) but never seem to get round to finishing any of them. Must do better...
Weeblemum - I love dragons too! But I tend to concentrate on one main piece at a time. I might stitch a few cards or ornaments at the same time because it gives me a break, especially if there's lot of one colour to work through! Post a pic of your St George piece at some point - love to see it.
Sandie
- at some point will probably be about 10 years in the future!!!
The latest creation - another one for my Mum, who has lots of pheasants in her garden!
This is Major Ditherington-Flyte, off to survey his estate (if he doesn't get run over crossing the road...)
Hi Cathy
Absolutely beautiful, such a cute little character :-)

My latest creation for a friend who has just come out of hospital. Somewhat stereotypical in form, but a pattern is a pattern!
Love her Cathy, where do you get your patterns from they are really cute, must get my cross stitch out again, need to finish it.
love and hugs Jenny xx
