Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
This is the easiest pattern and as they are boleros, they are very small. I can knit 2 sleeves in an evening but you could too............( unless you don't knit!)
How is your daughter this evening? I am pleased to see your husband has appetite today.
They are cute……No, knitting gives me upper back pain, even though I can and can follow a pattern, I prefer to crochet or see.
As far as we know all is ok so far, her partner feels as if it’s a bad hangover plus a cough which disturbed sleep to start with. I have read that rest is needed even after you think you’re over it as long Covid can creep in insidiously.

Lovely photos Lacomtekp and the boleros are so sweet. Also love the colour, a change from the usual pastels.
Long walk with friend yesterday as well as a shorter dog walk. First photo is the Heath in welcome sunshine, then various reclining figures! Love to all, HFxx
What gorgeous photos!!Loving the Billy Goat!
even the animals know to shelter from the sun.
my friend (who I haven’t seen for 2 years)was going to come over for the day today.Last evening she phoned and cancelled as it was going to be too hot to travel.
I was everso disappointed, but I do understand that .So I went out and sat in an outdoor cafe and listened to a street musician with some iced coffee.I must admit it was a really nice thing to do.I also sat upstairs in the library in the cool and an elderly gentleman came and sat at my table. He was wearing a collar and tie and hat and looked like he was maybe lonely? In the olden days it would have been the Reading Room when he was a boy.
Am loving carrying on with my nice quilt-it is the perfect hobby since I have a vitriol detachment in my other eye now.
Also reading…which I also love.
a photo from today xxx
Beautiful quilt Violetsniff, and I also love to read. Shame about your friend’s visit but your outdoor cafe and street music sounded like a perfect alternative. Hope you can reschedule with your friend once it’s cooler again.
Walked the dog mainly in shady woods today, then late walk to next town and back with friend. I suggested having a pub meal but in true me form it was shut! I have a habit of taking people to places that turn out to be closed! Anyway a meal deal from a supermarket made a fine picnic in the park. Lovely walk back by the river. A lone swan for you Violetsniff. Love to all, HFxx
Thankyou HappyFeet1Ooo!what an ace photo of swan in twilight!!
should be entered for a competition !xx
Some nice pics from a short walk around the back streets while the town was full….the silence was deafening! It was so lovely xx
