Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
I see your muntjack,HappyFeet1!!
Tonight my friend and I went to an outdoor performance. It was “A Comedy of Errors”and it was done in a really amusing way!
It was very slap-stick and it was good to have a good laugh in the middle of a field listening to the birds and smelling the grass again!!
and just to dress up to go out again!!xx
Town walk today but I couldn't resist the reflections in the water as we crossed the river.
How lovely to go to an outdoor play Violetsniff. And the river looks so tranquil Lacomtekp.
I’m in Brighton for a little mini break, had a stroll along the beachfront, away from the busy centre, and sat for a while on the pebbles. Hope my little video will post - see if you can hear the saxophone busker in the background! I really do like to be beside the seaside! Xxx
I got my Apple Watch ‘award’ by walking or running 65.9 miles in August, I wasn’t sure I’d manage that but I’ve surprised myself!
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Well done moomy !
I hope you enjoyed your time in Brighton. I went last week with my sister and nephews for a day out, we went on the 360i and got some lovely views of the coastline.
Hope you’ve all had a good b/h weekend and managed to get out and about.
How interesting to see that view from the 360i.My friend was only saying recently she might go up,but she didn’t.I don’t blame her,it looks pretty high up there. But what a view!!
Oh Lacomtekp…what beautiful jewel-like colours!!

my Aunt loved knitting, whisky, and poetry. But maybe not all at once!!xx
Ooo,am maybe going to be able to get on my lovely German poem now…
Hi all, back from mini break in Brighton and yes thanks it was really lovely. I walked passed the 360 and wondered what the view would be like. Now I know! Might be brave another time and venture up. Walked in the Surrey hills, partly on North Downs way on the way back, lovely walk with a couple of decent uphills so could feel it today! Just dog walks these past 2 days, took a photo of a tree trunk as I liked the texture and pattern.
Lovely poem Violetsniff. Love to all, HFxx
Morning all, I hope it’s been a good week and you have been able to get out and about.
Thought you might like this - from a game of scrabble the other day!
Because of the fall I had to settle for knitting
But it kept me busy.......
