Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Always interested to read your posts, Cannon xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Since we got home it's rained......so no walkies at present.
Interesting how many of us worked in the NHS; I guess that with half of all school leavers needed it's not that strange, though? I really hope it can be rescued before it falls flat on its face.
Cannon, lovely to hear how dedicated your nephew was looking after the youngster! Gold star to him!

Hi all
Typical bank holiday drizzle today but actually good motivation for me - I quite like running in the rain. Still at 10 minutes - pacing myself. Had a walk around the park afterwards and went to the "secret" garden. It's part of the community greenhouses plot - a neglected part of the park that the local authority handed over to the community years ago but it's only been properly attended to in recent years. There's a kitchen garden, herb garden, greenhouses and bee hives. They run willow weaving workshops and education sessions for schools - it's really lovely. Today this caught my eye -
I checked in at the pond and all is well at the swan's nest!
Hope everyone's weekend is going well!

Colder than it looked today, but after another delicious pub lunch had a walk round Lymm dam. After that went along the canal. Got mixed up with a wedding at the church cafe, but it was a very welcome cuppa. 7.5 km in all. Building up my stamina again, but still need an afternoon sleep!
Hugs ro everyone, especially those awaiting ops, procedure, results, and going through chemo and rads.

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
No walking for me today (unless you count up and downstairs - a lot!) but I did get four loads of washing done and dry-ish (only duvet covers drying by the heater now) - thank you to the rain for holding off!
But I did manage some fairly hefty gardening, only a small bed but some very obnoxious obstinate weeds, set some seeds for flowers and netted against our neighbourhood cats using it as a loo! Hope the seeds grow, we do tend to ignore that wee patch but it will hopefully look better with Godetia, Marigold and hopefully Sweet Williams for next year. I always forget that they are biannual!
