Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Lovely to catch up with your news and pics.
Violetsniff that is a dear little dress, bless you. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. On one of my walks this week I was very pleased to see a rickety old bridge has been replaced, it looks rather splendid!

That was a good walk this afternoon, almost 4 miles part of the way using ‘redways’ (these are Milton Keynes multi-use tracks) and footpaths to this small lake, all the way round and then back home along an old railway.
Hubs wheeled!
hugs xxx
Moomy
Thankyou ...and well done ,moomy...that would be an enormous walk for me!!
I have been trying to make another little dress today...then walked for miles to Church and back...am now lying down in a darkened room!!Sheer exhaustion!!xx
Great walk moomy! And another beautiful dress Violetsniff, so sweet. Dog walk with hubby today, to a frequent Sunday haunt through woods that are never busy, then back via fields. Autumnal feel with the stubble fields. Love this pair of trees. Love to all, HFxx

Thankyou,HappyFeet1...I love the sound of that..”through woods that are never busy”how lovely.xxmet by This nice swan who decided to walk the path, instead of swimming!!I was a bit scared of her being so close but all was well xx
Hi Violetsniff,
Your dresses are beautiful and I'm sure will be appreciated by some little girls in Africa Have just been trying to catch up but can't get back very far -so frustrating!! Anyway just to say that I love everyones photos of countryside and gardens - thankyou all.
I agree Kwissy, it’s so difficult to track back now. That swan looks very purposeful Violetsniff, glad it’s purpose wasn’t to chase you!
Escaped most of the rain today, lovely long walk to a nearby village, picnic in the park then back again. Cows in the river on the way, and a skeleton tree on the way back (if the photos post). Love to all, HFxx

Thankyou for your kind comments.

Hi Violetsniff, That is beautiful - you have a real talent ! xx
Aw that nightie is so sweet Violetsniff! Don't know how you could knock that up in a day, let alone with no pattern. And it will look even more gorgeous with a baby in it!
Weather looking promising here today, only a dog walk planned so might make it a longer one. Love to all, HFxx
