Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
You lot are nuts!! Thanks for the laugh to get me going this morning!!

@toxophilite
It is so good to know our mental agility in the wee small hours has brought a smile to your face.
If I am going to be a nut I think Brazil or cashew. At a push macadamia. The first 2 are odd shaped and the third round and 'ard!
And whoopie dooooooo the tagging isn't working. Gawd the Beast from the East has a lot to answer for.

Violetsniff OMG 3.5 miles I feel exhausted reading it. And really I am highly serious person, who reads religious tracts and highly intelligent novels in foreign languages. YEAH!!! Go figure. Teee heee
So today looked this:
Uninvited on my walk:
Invited on my walk. Sneaky flapjack hiding
Surprise invite! Two mommies from my days in teaching. Telling me how their children were off to Uni. Made me feel a little old but good to know they are having a great life.
5.5 km not sure what that is in old mileage.
Keep galloping
Leolady56
....yes,I think 3 miles does sound exhausting reading...especially for someone who is used to reading without exhaustion...but in fact it is about 5.5km.(google:5.5 kilometres =
Hi all,
I suspect that yesterday's yoga plus 2 miles fast walking might have been a shock to the system, especially as I failed to do much last week due to the white stuff - will someone in Russia please maintain the door better, we really don't want that chill again.....(think yoga might have woken some muscles I'd forgotten about!) as I was a touch sore this morning, but still managed to walk around Bletchley Park today (up to the NAFFI for lunch!) and then around the supermarket on the way home!

No tagging on iPad
Think maintaining doors a major issue between us and - formerly known as - USSR. They seem to have issues with who they prod and what they prod with. See Last news item.
I am Celia , did I say this already tres possibly, and my sister is Bunty. We visited Bletchley last summer. Had such a galloping time. Tres possible you were there
Dear gal take it gentle. One would be awfully miffed to see you in the sick bay
Tally ho
Leolady56
Hi Celia! (Leolady56 ) -trying to learn how to tag! Noting it's not available on iPad or presumably iPhone which I also use!
Yup, I'm taking care not to land up in sick bay, I understand Matron is rather severe! (lol!)
We've been making an inventory of all Bombe stock, some is going into storage, therefore we needed a long, detailed list (muggins took in a writing pad!) So it's home and typing up gobbledegook on Word and forwarding long lists to the rebuild team!
As for them Russian lot, well they didn't win, did they? We came first, Germany second, Japan third.....But I still think that cold spell came from them Ruskies leaving a Siberian door open! And yes, they do prod with some dodgy stuff (see the Litvinenko case)
Stay safe.....

There are certain peeps on this site who should never ever be in within nuclear range of one another. That is looking like you, me, mrsox and cannon at present
There would need to be a whole host of persons in white jackets with white jackets at the ready.
Tally ho old gal
Matron (in a carry on voice) is an absolute stinker.
Hope you have one of those jolly new pencils with an eraser on the end. Damned good old bean.
Keep that pecker up
LL hush hush in a previous life known as Lindsay or indeed Memsab
