Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi all, lovely photos everybody, love Squirrel Nutkin Violetsniff! And well done for polishing, I have dusters but I haven’t possessed polish for years!
A week of few walks sadly, but good one today, usual towpath to next town then back via country paths. Grey start but blue skies for homeward trek
Hiya went out for a walk on Thursday ( no photos sorry) thought we’d walk to our local Morrison’s and back thinking it’s not too far (3.5 miles) ♀️ big mistake I was absolutely shattered and so so cold by the time we got back home my boob (implant) felt like an icebox on my chest and felt like it had doubled in size and weight
Felt cold the rest of the day got up the next morning still feeling so cold and boob so heavy had a bad day yesterday didn’t feel well at all so didn’t do much except fixing a jigsaw and reading a book
today I took our dog ( George) our for a little walk just around a field and back and it was warmer today felt like a spring day got a video of birds tweeting in in some hedges hubby wasn’t as impressed as I was ( tried to up load video and photos but it’s not letting me )
feeling happier today hope it’s the same tomorrow slowly building it up xx
Well done ....a day at a time ....you do get steonger eventually...it is a good discipline. And I love the fact you got some birds tweeting in the hedgerows.I was just reading today and had opened the window and a little bird seemed to come so close and tweeted and I whistled back.Am I going mad?...but it sounded so sweet.

Nice pics moomy, indeed too sunny to stay in!
DH out for most of day and evening Fri Sat Sun
(railway exhibition) but as he left me the car I have taken myself out both days to Sale waterpark. Love the place, been going fir 30 years. At first windsurfing, now walking.
Yesterday was lovely and sunny, today very windy, and I got drenched in a sudden hailstorm just going from loo to car! Then it stopped. Really enjoyed it though. Saw 12 swans, 2 grebes, 2 cormorants, ducks geese and coots, but no herons.
Will try to post a pic.....xxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
hi everyone. Well it was a sunny day so I decided to go for a run with some of the ladies from my running club ( guess which one I am in the photo!!). We ran a beautiful run through the hills back into our village so I managed 7.8k before my body said it had had enough. Not bad for a run after my second chemo, although it was more difficult than normal for sure.
I arrived back home to find our munchkin cat, Piccolo in her Santa outfit! Lol
hope everyone’s had a good weekend, looks like we might get some snow next week xx
Well done ! Xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
And you look pleased with yourself too , and so you should! well done!
hugs xxx
