Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi AnnJac,
oh dear, sounds as if your pride is wounded? Poor you, but so glad you’re ok....
yes it’s lovely to be home but it was a good time away, just so sad a) I got a UIT and b) the weather really has gone downhill! But we still made the most of every moment and spell of sunshine!
Hugs xxx
Moomy
Ooomoomy....what lovely photos, thankyou.Yes the weather went loopy today...glad you home in te warm.x
...oh,poor you!so pleased you had a nice time with your friends...that does us great deal of good. Also, glad you had somebody to help you...oh dear.
At first after my op I did sometimes use a walking stick(a pretty one)but that was mainly for pain in my hip (thanks Letrozole)and sometimes feeling a bit faint and wobbly.
It wasn’t for too long but I did feel safer.Xxxxx
Well done for going back again after your fall. You sound wobbly with the healing process. Might be an idea to get a stick. Mine has helped save me from many a fall. Good luck xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Violetsniff I love your observations at the gym, that really made me chuckle!
Moomy lovely pics I hope you are feeling better now.
Annjac I’m so sorry you had that fall, glad someone was there to help you. I know how it can knock your confidence.
Hi also to everyone else!
This pic is from yesterday it was dull and cold but the daffodils were cheering. I had my first annual mammogram yesterday which was fine and they were lovely, I was quite tearful as first time back in that particular hospital since being told of my diagnosis last Jan. The corridor, the waiting room etc. Was glad to get home and have the walk.
I hope you have some sunshine today
So glad mammogram went well Amelie. And good you had a lovely walk. Spring gives us hope doesn't it.
Just found this thread and felt so inspired I immediately jumped up to go out for a walk. Then saw its pouring with rain. Oh well maybe later. But still a wonderful thread.
Hope to be able to post my own daffodil pictures soon.
Thank you to everyone who posts on here. Ive found it so helpful over the past 10 months. You are all amazing
Catherine xx
moomy .. great picks. Hope you’re improved and keeping busy.
Violetsniff ... doing good at the gym...keeping busy with sewing. Tree with lights in India.
.. pleased you got assistance after your tumble...and still got to your meet-up. Sounds like a walking stick will be a help until you are fully recovered. Trip to the lakes sounds good.
... great news about your mammogram results.
.... Hi ... look forward to your pics...let’s hope there’s good weather ahead although some places are expecting snow..yikes.
Yesterday walking done up and down the aisles on a plane, then through airport, did a bit at train station and that was it. So far today only been around supermarket but hoping I’ll get out for walk before I nod off as feeling jet lagged.
xx

Hi all, it's a mammoth job catching up on these posts after a few days! I've managed a few quick likes in last couple of days but finding it ridiculously tiring just being back 2 days at work. Anyway, lovely long weekend beckons.
Great holiday pics, moomy, despite the weather. Violetsniff I love the gym ditty, hilarious! And your beautiful cushion covers... , great about your mammogram, but must be so strange going back. Lovely daffs! , looking forward to your photos, lovely to get away with friends. Flossie25, welcome home! And welcome to this fab thread, !
Haven't got much to report myself and hope I didn't leave anybody out. Managed to walk the dog today but only to local park, probably half an hour in all....

Determined to get out for a decent walk over the weekend! Happy walking of any kind (but no more of the wrong sort of 'trip', ! HFxx
Oh!what a lovely page of postings!
welcome ,
HappyFeet1...gosh it must be so tiring being back ...take your time....cld you take a break from being a Champion while you get back into work again?
I did wonder if your photo was in India,....how nice.
thanks for nice comments,love Violetsniff-xxx
Thanks Violetsniff I'm taking it slowly just 2 days per week at the moment, but yes finding it very tiring. Marginally less so today though so I think it will gradually get easier. And I'm not a Champion, just me!
2 walks now planned for Sunday - might depend on the weather.....
